Kyla M. Pecchia joined the Law Offices of William J. Conley, Jr. in early 2019 after practicing general civil litigation and family law in Warwick, RI. She is admitted to practice in Rhode Island, as well as the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island. Prior to practicing law full time, Kyla spent two years working as a local lobbyist, representing the legislative interests of several medical professional groups. Kyla also worked as a Legal Fellow to the Honorable Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse in his Washington, D.C. office, prior to her graduation from Roger Williams University School of Law in 2016. She is a proud alumna of Rhode Island College, where she earned her bachelor’s degree, cum laude, in 2013.
As a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association, Kyla serves as Co-Chair of the Committee on Ethics and Professionalism and is a member of the New Lawyers Committee. Kyla is a member of the RI Women’s Bar Association, and recently completed a case as a volunteer lawyer for the Partners Overcoming Domestic Violence Project, under the auspices of RI Legal Services. She also co-authored and presented a CLE about Social Media and Ethics for the Modern Lawyer at the 2018 Annual Meeting.
In addition, Kyla is currently the Executive Director of Millennial Rhode Island: a non-profit, generational networking group founded by Rhode Islanders, whose mission is to connect other Millennial-aged RI professionals with resources that enable them to #ChooseRI as a place to live, work, and grow. She has been the Recording Secretary of the Warwick Democratic City Committee for the past four years and is also a Board member of the Rhode Island College Foundation Board of Directors.
